Turned the corner
He was right in front of me
His upright body
His smile
His gleam
Hands up
Waving Hi
In shock
I stood there
Others couldn't get by

Turned the corner
And there he was
The guy I've been thinking of
All day
At night

All day
I've been hoping
He'd come and be back

I'd been hoping
He'd put a smile on my face
and warm me
with his grace

All day
I've been thinking about him
How I missed him these past days and mornings

Great beginnings to my days
The hugs we share
His face

My glory
My grace

His presence strikes me hard
His voice and smile light me up
And oh the way he talks to me
The way he looks at me

Others may not see this and him as extraordinary

Don't have the imagination to believe
How lovely he is to me
