My Half Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

My Half

My half

She lived as my half
And always made me laugh
I was very much inclined
With her nature when dined

She lived full life
As my wife
But we experienced cruel edge of knife
Still surged ahead and survived

She died a few months back
I tried to fake
Her death
But couldn't take easy breathe

What was more important?
She never remained absent
From my mind
I always tried to find

Her voice may whisper
Slowly in ears
To remind me that she is still alive
And comfortably live

I shall get up from sleep
And try to keep
Uneasiness in control
As this happens with her each call
