Every chance I run into you
I’m blithesome and stunned
To enjoy such fortuitousness
Each time, my joy multiplies
And more like that first time
When you aroused my heart
With your first pleasant hello
Here and there I notice you
You linger within my mind
And my thoughts engaged
Your name would roll and
Nudge me to pray for you
The reason I do not know
Except the urging to pray
I acquiesce every prodding
And relish the suggestiveness
If your spirit bids me to pray
And communes with me thus
Then I’m honored and blessed
And content to pray for the one
Who still makes my heart smile
At every turn and contemplation
