My Heart; Your Home Poem by Bakare Oluwagbenga Michael

My Heart; Your Home

O blessed soul!
The one soul whose body I can't resist;
A goddess among queens she is;
Ever since I set my eyes on you;
My heart became your home;
Kicking me out on the hunt;
The hunt for a new home to dwell in.
The joy in my heart has blossomed ever since;
I vowed not to let this go without repaying you;
I need to give unto you the same thing you gave me.

O ye Queen of Hearts!
My one bright light in the middle of a tunnel;
My only ray of hope in times of despair;
My only Sunshine in my cloudy days;
The one open secret behind my smile;
Give my wandering soul a place in your heart to make its home...
