My Hope Poem by Scarlett Voight

I see you in my world of hope
You're patiently waiting, as am I
For time to pass quickly but it refuses even now

Waiting for something to bring me to you
Is more than enough pain
Now I have only my dreams
In which I can see you
But even then I see you seldom for I have too many nightmares

But one day I know, I will have you
Safe, and with me
Perhaps these nightmares will stop
And the tears will then hide away forever
This peace will then finally be closer to me
For you where the one who took it with you
And then I can truly be happy
In my own world, done hoping for I am now with you
