Questions Poem by Scarlett Voight

Questions

Do you think I pretend?
Am I a liar like everyone else?
A conformist?
Should I look you in the eyes?
Should I look away instead?
And tell you something you want to hear?
To expect?

Will this give you reassurance?
Of my intentions? Of my love?
Should I hold your hand?
Should I let go? Leave that hand empty?
Or have I filled it already?
With empty promises?

Have I disappointed you?
Is it even possible to please you?
What if I wasn't sure?
Even though I want to?
Can I really?

Can't you see that I try?
That I am lost? That I'm sorry?
That I really love you?
Do you think I pretend?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Having to write a poem just over questions was interesting but it turned out I found out that I actually had all these questions for a certain person that is always on my mind. I really like this one.
