Innocence dancing in pupil puddles black
Eyes beautiful in awe of creation
Untroubled circles, able to soften even metallic hearts
Beauty and compassion through sight become sensation
I saw love in sight in everything and every where
Naivete chanting that, 'All is Good and All is Fair'
Then they were opened
Now suspicion, hatred and scinicism are behind this glare
These eyes have seen too much for an innocent soul to bare
A heart corrupted, a mind opened and exposed
An addiction unrelenting for the sights that I chose
He said, 'You are not the same my dear
Something in you is wild and strange
My how your eyes have changed.'
