My Inner Voice Poem by Nido Tamo

My Inner Voice

heard a voice calling out to me,
Its echoes reverberated all around,
It cried out in agony,
So I scoured every place, but found no sound.

What caused this lament?
What could be the source?
Why eludes my intent?

I wished I were present there,
To lend an ear, to aid and care,
To bring light to despair.

I delved into introspection, rose to the top,
And then it became clear, without a stop,
The voice was mine, my inner self's plea,
Reaching out for help, to
set me free.
