My Last Breath Poem by Moth Harris

My Last Breath

I'm suffocating on my last breath
Choking on all that I've taken in.
I cannot speak, or scream.
Struggling for air, my lungs won't allow.
I gasp for air, but nothing is there.
The last in my lungs starts to smother.
My eyes start to tear, I fear
That this is the end, my eyes will close.
I struggle to keep them open so I can see
This gorgeous thing, that took my breath away.

WOW! This is beautiful. I look so forward to reading your work. I'm dissapointed when I log in and don't see new poems on your site.
