My Wish Come True - Poem by Moth Harris

We've stared across the crowded rooms,
to see each other turn away with red faces.
I've been meaning to ask you, no.
I've been meaning to tell you something.

We've stared up at the night skies stars,
to see them sparkle, and make wishes,
but no stars ever fell, no.
No stars ever left those skies.

We've stared across the crowded rooms,
but only saw each others eyes.
We've stared at the stars at night.
but nothing shines quite like you.
