My Letter To Thegirls Poem by Warri Stanley

My Letter To Thegirls

"My Letter To The Girls"

How does he look?
Are you still in that dream of yours?
Did you see Cristiano Ronaldo?
Did you wake with picture of Davido in your hand?
Or did you see those picture stored so far away? .

In your heart, there lie fine pictures,
You painted with invisible pretty colour,
Like those colours of dulux paint,
Which only you can see and carry about.
Some of your pictures are very tall with six packs,
And some others, short fair with good looking.
That has given you "carryovers" all these years.

Olu and Emeka only have one pack,
When you said they are not type of your man,
And they said, you are not their type too,
Now will you marry you? ,
Because there is a man for every woman,
And there is a woman for every man.

Stop looking those pictures painted by you,
Those fine pictures pasted in your wall,
Wake up from dreams of once up a time,
So that you can grab that which is truly yours.
