No Another Home Poem by Warri Stanley

No Another Home

"No Another Home"

The rain,
Descending everywhere,
Chorusing so loud.
Even our fifth neighbours could hear the cry.
I was still praying in the presence of demons.

In mirage,
I saw many,
Sheidan,
Okpei eke,
Eshu and Ekwensu,
Who are rainmakers,
In this God forbdid future,
This their rain must stop.

In a sweven,
Sun shine in the middle of the rain,
It shine so bright for the first time,
From the most precious planet.
On our land it shines.

Every crown was shaking,
Rotating in the air,
Searching for the good heads to crown,
Who will use their crowns to pack dirt out of the city.

Soon we were crowning new kings.
Everyone of us was a kingmaker.

I smell scent of roses,
In every town with queens smiling,
Smiling all through the night,
And all our streets looks Miami.

I believe in my prayer,
I believe in my dream.
"Our heavens are in our own hands"
There, where is I see heaven waiting for us,
There, where I see heaven just at the corner,
There, where green and white leaves getting stronger.

"Everyone of us is alter of our own delight",
Let's not deviate from the picture,
Picture of heaven painted in green and white.
Let's stand firmly and hug the welkin.
Let every heart becomes a source of change,
Because we don't have another home.
