My Life Poem by Wendelin Weird

My Life

It remains a pointless blur,
among the unforgiving world
Will I ever truely make a difference?
Will I leave an impact on the life of those I know?
or if you found out tomorrow that
I departed from this world
never to have to worry about my thoughts
nor my life again
would you notice my empty seat?
Would you even shed a tear?
Or would i be forgotten; never again to cross your mind?
The thought of leaving life behind
runs through my head,
the forbidden fruit
barely eluding my grasp
Even then...., would I be able to take the first bit,
or would a few memories
that make life worth living drift into my head
before I can stop my train of thought?
Memories of joyous time spent with friends
Memories of your smile that creates the twinkle in your eye
Memories of you claiming that you feel the same way
These memories remain between me and thoughts of death
They contain just enough hope for me to believe,
my life might have a second plan instore for me.
Until then, I will hang on to my few wires of hope
that wrap themselfs around my heart
In feeble attempts to mend deep, untold, wounds.
For reasons unknown, even to me, I will carry on with
My Life.
