My Life Poem by Judy Meibach

My Life

Here I was, my life in a rut
so much so, I fell on my butt.
Where was I supposed to go to -
here or there -
only realizing I'd be stuck in a chair.

What was I going to do -
I could not move.
My life revolved around those wheels
that moved me room to room.

I was to be confined to a hospital for weeks upon end,
isolated from work and all that seemed familiar to me.

A different life, I was going to have
commisserating with those
old at hand.
People who were older
and wiser than me (so I thought) .
Teaching me a new way of life,
a new way to see.

No longer was my life in a rut,
even though I was stuck on my butt.
I had a life to look forward to.

Walking and traversing with all whom I wanted,
doing the things that I so longed for,
my life no longer seemed such a mess.

There was a light at the end of the tunnel.

Good job....I mean this....this is a splendid message to all who have lost their hopes in life.... Life is always possible if you want it to be
