My Muse Poem by Judy Meibach

My Muse

I need a muse
Something, someone
To inspire me
The poets that I read
Give me boundless ideas to
Fill my mind which is
Rambling with ideas
Like a river running over
Populated by fish
Who are lost and looking for food.

My hunger inspires me
A void trying to be filled
With meaty ideas
Versus food
With unfulfilled dreams
That can be put into words
