I lay down my life, for everyone,
the young, and old, the shy, and the bold.
I'm out in the night, when it's cold and wet,
I'm out in the day in the sun, and heat.
I lay down my life so that you might live,
as a solider it's my duty to unselfishly give.
In foreign country's I shoot and kill,
I do this for it's my country's will.
I'd give an arm, leg, and yes my life,
To protect everyone person,
man, woman, father, mother, son,
daughter, husband, or wife.
Though every time that I leave,
my country to protect,
I think aloud, what sadness I feel,
As I watch my fellow soldiers die, and kill.
