My Little Blessing. Poem by Marie Bliss

My Little Blessing.

Rating: 5.0

My baby is leaving home today,
it was only twenty years ago
that she came into the world.
A tiny angel
now all grown up,
with a shining heart of gold
and a sword of truth.
Today i see it ever more clearly,
the blessing of this little cherub,
God's perfect gift to me,
My sadness has my cup
running over.

Dads miss them too, but we gave them life for them to live it :) I am proud of all my girls. Lovely poem.

The emotions of a mother on the eve of her lovingly brought up daughter leaving home is beautifully brought out in this poem...10
