Black as day and bright as night
These stars Oh how they give me sight
Gazing up with longing eyes
The infinite cosmos hears my cries
Eyes wide shut from severed dreams
Makes you ponder what it means
Children sleeping in their beds
Worlds of fantasy in their heads
Ears are open, mouths are closed
Their mind's eye orders to oppose
Don't follow that path, they say
Dream and live your life YOUR way
Be your own and do it well
Trek where other fear to dwell
Always stand out from the crowd
Show no fear and live out loud
