My Little Doll-Zeenat - Poem by mamutty CHOLA

MY LITTLE DOLL-ZEENAT

She was a little doll when she came into my life
Her smile gives me inspiration to live on in life

My failures; because of my follies took her smile away
Her heart is abode of love, passion, care and concerns for all

She is exemplary in her concerns; a symbol of sacrifice
I live for her smile and pray to creator make her life abode of bliss

No words to thank creator for HIS benevolence and kindness
I am blessed with a daughter whose heart is filled with love for one and all

She means every thing to me, my life, my happiness and my anchor
But for her, this life of mine would have been like lonely journey in vast empty desert

Indeed lucky are those parents who are blessed with such adoring daughters
How unfortunate are those parents who treat their daughters as burden

Quran says blessed is that mother whose first child is a daughter
Daughter carries tender heart with fountain of love for all; unmatched

At the dawn of twilight of my life my only prayer to God
May her life be a cradle of happiness, joy and success.
Amen.
