My Little Snow-White Golden Girl Poem by Diana van den Berg

My Little Snow-White Golden Girl

If you were to ask me
for a definition of
reciprocated love
and untainted happiness
wrapped into one,
wordlessly
I would show you
my fluffy, white, near-blind, little Daisy-dog
bounding towards me
with joyful little barks.
