My Lonely Eyes Poem by Ronald Chapman

My Lonely Eyes

I look at you,
Through the veil of time,

Looking for you too,
Free my Lost Soul,

Your face is hidden now,
In lost memories,
And in dreams.

Love is only possible,
With a life with you;
In a time long ago,
In a distant place, half a world away.

You have taken hold of my heart,
I watch you playing, under the cherry blossom trees,
I look at you blooming into a beautiful woman,

A princess becoming a queen,
In the bright pink Seoul sunlight.

Loving you my dream is an impossible thing,
I will never embrace you,
My lonely eyes,
Only see you at midnight.

A dream that leads only to heartbreak,

At dawn every day.
