Chocolate - Poem by Ronald Chapman

I am addicted!

I am addicted to chocolate1

In my addiction.
My life is filled with chocolate cake,
Milk chocolate candy and candy kisses.
In my addiction, I am glad to feel hungry!

I am addicted!

I am addicted to chocolate ice cream.
In my addiction.
I hate to think about an empty ice cream container.
In my addiction.
The real me becomes a chocolate zombie!

I am addicted!

I am addicted to chocolate cookies.
In my addiction.
Betrayal comes in the form of vanilla ice cream.
In my addiction.
I struggle to fight the chocolate fiend!

I am addicted!

I am addicted to chocolate.
In my addiction.
I am hiding my bulging waistline.
In my addiction,
I'm in a constant battle with the chocolate monster!

I am addicted to chocolate!

I am addicted!

    Chocolate monster, chocolate fiend
And chocolate stars to seal all dreams

I enjoyed this poem so much. So clever, so witty, so chocolaty sweet.
My mother was a chocoholic, it was her only addiction.
Your poem brought back fond memories of better times.
