I hear those church bells ring.
They sound and thrum within me.
A steady ringing, ding-ding-ding.
Such a wonderful sound.
I walk up the steps.
And enter the dimly-lit room.
The bells final note.
It sounds with a boom.
I look at the covenant.
And smile up at it.
There, watching me.
Was my Lord
I knelt and bowed my head.
And felt a hand on my shoulder.
My arms felt as heavy as lead.
Don't be afraid, I am here, a whispered sound.
I left my mind at ease.
And sank to the cold stone floor.
I asked him, in an undertone.
I could never fear you, but, I could always love you more,
I will love you 'til the day you die.
And forever beyond.
He whispered into my ear.
He will love me until the day I die,
yes, he will.
Forever and ever more.
He will, my Lord will.
