My Lord's Birth; Christmas Poem by Chibuzo Okoroafor

My Lord's Birth; Christmas

Rating: 1.0

Once upon a time
Man was created and the world handed over to him
Once upon a time
Man lost his place and lost his world
He suddenly became an obvious slave in his habitation
Man had no hope for safety
He had no hope for redemption
Man in the quest to fill his inner vacuum sought desperately after God
But the more he did, the more it seemed to him that God was far from him.

And It came to pass
God Himself sought to save man
To redeem him from the hands of his slave master
Man tried, but he was not able to save his kind
God in his kind, took the kind of man
The Word(Jesus) became flesh and dwelt amongst men
Taking their sin upon Him that through Him man will have life.

This is what we celebrate.
What we celebrate?
Christmas
What we celebrate?
The Word became flesh
What we celebrate?
The birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Beloved, it would be a good and a memorable thing to hand over your life totally to Christ on Christmas.
