Love can be testy. I liked the honest tone of your words. A amazing poem.

Your sister identified the dynamic of this poem which helps me to appreciate it. She described the process of the poem as a fire, flickering, moving from place to place, never stable. And upon rereading I can see the images do act like the flames of a fire, and it's impossible to keep them in steady focus, one blurs into another, they jump into and out of viewing. Does this suggest the love itself may be consuming itself even as it seems so lively in its actions, it's really using up its fuel and may be extinguished?

I actually love this so much. The poem almost moves like a fire, always changing in different ways like the heat, the colour, the intensity...questioning if another log or more newspapers will come along to fuel it and keep it breathing. Awesome!
