My Magpie - Poem by Nita Hanson

You appear with the wind swift or calm
In the early morning or the mid day sun
Flapping your wings In majestic style
Caring not what lies beyond
Not conscious that I am here
Watching you with so much cheer
You perch on a tower almost touching the sky
Then move gracefully like a magic wand
Bearing greetings that my day will be fine
And so my heart fills up with joy
For joy you bring each time
My Magpie
