My Missing Rib Poem by Bamukunda Hillary

My Missing Rib

Rating: 5.0

.
Where are now?
The world you left me in is scary,
Human beings are still the same,
They have seasons for care.
Everything still has a price tag.
Those daily genuine calls are more.
"Have you eaten? Did you bathe? Did you pray, son? "
Those are forgotten questions.
Did you go with them?

.
Where could you be?
The world you left me in hasn't changed,
People still change with times
Not like our laughters that endured in the desert
Our hugs and kisses that needed not knees,
But thinking about each other.
Those unpaid for prayers we gave to each other,
The smiles, songs and wishes we had together.
"You can make it, Go my boy, you are capable and you will shine"
The statements that defined you.
You believed in me even when i seemed faulty.
Was it also vanity?
.
How can i emulate you?
How can i be that star you dreamt of?
You went with those words of wisdom.
Who will push me when am stuck?
Who will nurse these open wounds with a smile?
Who will stand my earthly pus in this world?
Judgement comes first before anything.
Why did you leave this early?
.
Mother!
Were you the missing rib?
You are now a missed rib
When will you come again?
We can defeat everything,
Just like our motto,
With love and peace, we can change every destiny.
I should see you soon.
Don't delay.
