My Mother's Prayer Poem by Camagu Somana

My Mother's Prayer

Rating: 5.0

Her dreams and hopes for her kids were that
They become what she never dreamed of
They will become something
Educated or anything like that

Had they heard her pray
They would have pursued
What she wanted for them and more
Because she knew that life is not a child's play

l still hear her pray in my dreams
Praying for her kids at 30 to 50 something
She was praying very hard
And next to her a side plate full with lemon creams
