Quinary of blacks on earth
Call you home...
Home to the great Zik of Africa
...Lest I forget our literary icons - the Soyinkas
Your starry sky lit with natures' gifts
What I see!
My Nigeria - the giant of Africa
From the northern valleys
To the southern highlands
From the sahara harmattan
To the south west wind of the atlantic
Oh! the coastal swamps of the Niger delta
The nation's oil seat of wealth - The belt adorned with fauna and flora
Though heart-broken - unfriendly exploitation.
Yet hopeful (? recompense)- just like its nation
What I see!
My Nigeria - the world awaits your rising
The Struggles - all kinds - yet surviving
Food on the table - how hard? - oh a luxury to many
Your unequalled smile - ineffable
Yet you house
A handful of the world's wealthiest - the Dangotes
What I see!
Life's irony - sad, oh how unjust!
Minds at work - Obstacles silenced
Vague imaginations- Turned to resounding creations
From the magical nollywood
To the scintillating songs of your youthful stars
The banks of Niger River
Like a shooting star - disembogue a sound
Sounds of greatness to the ends of the earth!
Wow! make a wish
Dawn of a new era - dreams come true
So proud to call you my home!
That's what I see! For I see much better...
My ''Naijaaah'', a better Naijaaah! ! ! - the gleaming of a ''giant star''
