My Old Collegues Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

My Old Collegues

I long my old collegue
Neighbors and friends
The places and spots
'Hide and seek' where we were caught

We had no inkling
Where will we be going?
What shall be our destiny?
Whether we may meet again or not

One thing was sure
We were close and secured
Nothing was separating us
We were one with full trust

We had no one religion
Yet we participated often
In each others function
Built up very close relation

The festivals brought us near
We had no fear
Only future worries us more
We discussed it often therefore

Today I look back and slip into memory
The friends were so many
But only few were invading often
They were special even
