I have only loved one woman
The one I think of day and night
She's my soul mate, the one I love
Her name is Eve and she's my wife
I met her some years back
And did not imagine she'd be mine
But one day she became my princess,
And I was happy to be her knight
But our life hasn't been a fairly tale
We've had good and bad moments
We have achieved and we have failed
We've had friends and opponents
Through it all I've loved her
Because she's the one I sought
With her failures and her letdowns
With my mistakes and my faults
Mistakes are much like flies
That need killing to stop them
They're only good when realized
When they have been forgotten
I love my wife, I love my Eve
Nothing will ever change that
She's all of what I need
That has never left my thoughts
Today, like others, I think of her
I see her in my arms again
Running my fingers through her hair
Kissing, touching, and making amends…
She's my Eve, the one I love
She's my wife; she's in my soul…
