My Own Choice Poem by Randy McClave

My Own Choice

I live by my own choice
And not ever by chance,
I listen to God's voice
Before, I ever take a stance.
I live to be motivated
And not ever manipulated,
That is how I am fated
That is how my beliefs are situated.
I live to be useful
And not ever used,
I will always be honest and truthful
And never ever worried or confused.
I live to make changes
And not ever any excuses,
From different perspective and ranges
From different thoughts and different uses.
I live to excel
And not never to compete,
I will not end up in Hell
Never will I lie, steal or cheat.
I choose self-esteem
And not ever any self-pity,
I want to become as I dream
Smart, caring, devoted and sometimes gritty.
To my inner voice I chose to listen to
And never to the random voices of others,
What I hear and believe in is true
And I'll always have some doubts or druthers.
