My Peaceful Lady Poem by Larry Ninas

My Peaceful Lady

I walked the dusty road,
My soul alone-my mind in peace.
Then I could dream or ponder
Thoughts of you and I together.

As I walked further, and thought,
I envisioned us together;
Our hands joined as we strolled
the fields of life, joy and happiness.

When I first saw you
all of my once foolish dreams
flitted across my mind
for I knew it was you I envisioned.

No longer was my soul alone,
nor would I walk that road alone.
My mind has found a better peace
The peace of happiness and togetherness.
