On my finger I wore my wedding ring
Then I sued for divorce among other things,
Sadly I was heartbroken and I felt the sting
But, I was tired of all the lying and the flings.
On my finger the wedding ring I once did wear
Our marriage was always in my thoughts and prayers,
The ring that I once wore boastfully everywhere
But, now those thoughts brings only nightmares.
My fourth finger it now lays lonely and bare
I call it my widow finger upon the glances and stares,
I fillvery happy though when women care
My now naked finger allows the advances of all mares.
Never would I hide my ring with a bandaid or in drawers
One day hopefully my ring finger won't be naked anymore,
It will prove unto all that I am truly and only yours
The fourth finger shows the world a love that was swore.
