From peaceful slumber I hear your call as you pull me into you.
“Wake up” you whisper, “I wait for you”, and all my dreams come true.
You wrap yourself around me, where each of us begins
You hold me like you’ll never go, I pray it never ends.
Legs twined around like strands of rope, you hold me tight and safe,
Those slumber hours where we meet, we each begin to ache
You stroke my hair so softly and call my name out loud,
Then pull the covers tightly and it covers like a shroud
In these arms of yours so warm and body so golden brown,
Your lips I seek our eyes they meet, so sweetness can be found.
And in this moment of embrace, I see it can be true,
For in this place of twilight’s grace I found my road to you.
My eyes open softly and you’re gone.
