My Room Poem by John Leroy Maxwell

My Room

Sitting silently, somber in my room, while the world spins it's web
around me
Reflecting on a misspent life, trying to look in, but cannot see
I have lost the courage of my fantasies
Strolling thru life's broken heart, but never making a start
Whatever happened to love, compassion or honesty, or just
being witty
Sitting silently, somber in my room, dancing on a carpet of
self pity

Something about this poem really spoke to me. Great job!
