My Shadow

Like a shadow it follows
A separate part of me
I close my eyes to hide it
It's something I don't want to see
It might be friend, it might be foe
For sometimes its unclear
The darkness becomes my life
A shadow made of fear
Yet like a part of me
I cannot see it go
I am dammed to have it forever
For the shadow it will grow
