My Soul I Tried To Mend Poem by Payyton Egerstaffer

My Soul I Tried To Mend

Rating: 5.0

Walking down the street
I should have seen it coming
For the man that I did meet
Sure thought I was becoming

I couldn’t escape
No matter how hard I tried
He man handled my shape
While the whole time I cried

At the end he said thank you
While I laid there wishing for it all to end
My parents didn’t have a clue
To my room my soul I tried to mend
