My Soul Longs For You Poem by June FeirCruz

My Soul Longs For You

My soul,
Screaming amidst the chaos inside my head
My soul - wanted you from day one
It wouldn't listen to neither my heart nor my head
It had a life of its own
It wants who it wants and it wanted you.

My soul
Imprisoned by its longing for you
Not caring whether it is day or night
It just wanted to be with you
It had a mind of its own
It wanted you without reservation.

My soul,
Suffering in the depths of despair
Wishing for the pain to dissipate
Begging for you to show compassion
Asking for your mercy and leniency
But, you have abandoned me.
