My soul feels restless-
I cannot sleep.
I don’t want to lose
A love so deep.

Denial and rejection-
I threw it all at you.
But you never gave up
And broke right thru.

I realized your goodness
And wanted you more.
Till finally I broke
And opened the door.

I fell in love
Long before I knew.
And there inside me,
It grew and grew.

I felt amazing!
Complete and whole!
For the very first time,
You touched my soul.

You gave me peace
When I gave you my heart.
You’ve always loved me
Right from the start.

The only one
On whom I can depend.
Lover of my soul-
Jesus, my friend.
