Heather Delhom Poems

Too much hate.
Too much pain.
Too much gone.
Too much remains.
...

My Love is honest
My Love is sweet
My Love is true
He can't be beat!
...

The oceans roars its fear to us,
But we are not removed.

The wind beats its fear to us,
...

We never know where love is-
It finds us.

We never know how to love-
...

Red fruit
Orange sun
Yellow leaves
Green grass
...

Furs-
Rabbit, Mink, Fox
Soft, Beautiful
Expensive.
...

Glorious wings
of golden colors,
spreading across the sky.
...

Love can be power,
Love can be strong.
It can come as a whisper,
Like the words in a song.
...

How much do you love Jesus?
Do you love Him more than these?

Would you give up your home-
...

Why do our souls pay the consequences of our choices?
These sins we plague our minds and bodies with torment us relentlessly.
We suffer in agony over something we have a choice about.
Free will is a gift that has been given to us, but so many abuse the privilege.
...

Show me a flower-
And I will show you a field of dreams.

Sing me a song-
...

I am happy.
I have a friend.
He cares about me.
He always has.
...

Pits! Pits!
Nothing but pits!
I sit and I wait.
I wait and I sit.
...

My soul feels restless-
I cannot sleep.
I don’t want to lose
A love so deep.
...

What’s in a word?
That is contingent upon the manner
In which it is presented.
...

The Heart-
Delicate
Frail
Broken
...

17.

Maybe its the way your eyes sparkle
when you look into mine
Maybe its how you say I Love You
nearly all the time
...

18.

Sightless
Soundless
Motionless
Stirring
...

19.

Shattered pieces
All around
Torn apart
Which way?

Heather Delhom Biography

I am a single mother to a beautiful young lady who is now 14 years old. She has encouraged me to pursue my writing as a possible career. She too, has been blessed with the gift of writing and has inspired me abundantly! I am currently working with a company that provides services to special needs individuals and terminally ill patients. I am the firstborn child in my family. My father, Michael A. Delhom, is the one I can attribute my creative genes to. He plays the guitar, can sing, and is an artist and writer of many varieties. Currently he writes and designs his own cookbooks. I have learned alot from him over the years, and I have the utmost respect for his works. I wrote my first piece at age 8. It was a children's Bible song titled 'God Knows What He's Doing', based on the story of Noah's Ark. It was then that I realized God had given me a very special gift. Since then, I have always enjoyed writing, and express myself through poetry or sometimes in music. I have not been good at keeping a diary, but have plenty of 'life experiences' that I would like to compose and have published someday.)

The Best Poem Of Heather Delhom

Rejection

Too much hate.
Too much pain.
Too much gone.
Too much remains.

Too much confusion,
Bound to my feet.
I feel the rejection,
Accepting defeat.

Help me get out
from under the weight.
Or leave me to die,
Receiving my fate.

I can't get out,
Not on my own.
I need someone near,
Don't leave me alone.

I feel the end coming
Nearer each day
I can't do a thing, except-
Pray.
