My Soulmate Poem by Randy McClave

My Soulmate

I went on date after date
Still looking for my soulmate,
To find that woman who was a lot like me
Strong and independent and free.
I looked for her with a strong affinity
To which I could share an infinity,
Wherever that I was ever bound
But, sadly she couldn't be found.
I have already been married twice
Now I'm tired of chasing and of rice,
And if I ever get married again
I want it to be with a woman who could be my twin.
I want a woman who is kind and sweet
And one who won't lie or cheat,
A woman who would stand proudly at my side
And from problems she would never hide.
A woman who keeps all promises made
And whose love will never fade,
And a woman who would be my confidant
That is what that I deeply and truly want.
I want us to share the same values and tastes
Where we see the same beauty where others see wastes,
And I want us to look forward and beyond
Then we will both find and have a true romantic bond.
No man couldn't get much luckier than that
As I thought as I sat,
In the end I wonder if I could accomplish my goal
Could I ever find that woman, with a beautiful soul.
