My Soulmate Poem by Joseph T. Renaldi

My Soulmate

I met my soulmate on a sultry, Summer day
in a park where a variety of flowers bloom,
and the chirp of birds could be heard
at the height of a dazzling noon.
The pathways appeared to be endless
as they meandered and were difficult to see.
I met my soulmate on a sultry, Summer day.
What a marvelous mate is She.
As I had readily known for sometime.
The thoughts of her were with me every day
for her presence I envisioned daily
when my mind began to stray.
There is no one so solicitous and kind.
She is my one and only intimate friend.
I met my soulmate on a sultry, Summer day
and on her I will always depend.
