My Spanish Wife
Her firm, warm, slim light brown-ness;
high, strong cheekbones; angled face;
the striking waves of her dark hair;
her busy-ness, quick movements
and keen conversation;
her neatness, dress-sense, kindness
and easy sociability:
all this makes her
(the woman who puts up with me)
just right - uniquely loveable -
the only girl I'll ever need.
