My Star Poem by Taher Shemaly

My Star

Rating: 2.5

In the matter of fact
ladies and gentlemen of honour and fame
My heart glancing shall stop the act
in greeting stand for my star with no blame
Give a way you who listens, up to the last
here comes the star, I dare not say the name

I shall believe heavens are on earth
were revealed in a merciful gift
My eyes shall see evil no more
for my life-long until my soul is in lift
Pray to you O my Lord of Might
keep my star with me, as if night never went

May according to traditions of new and old
flirting is a taboo to be judged for
But who cares O my star of eternal glance
to you my heart I present, or you'd like some more?
Keep it with thee I shall need it no more
as to the grave I might be, calling your name no more
