My sun shines day and night
Since simply it shines from within
I never try to hide its bright
Since quickly it makes me grin
Not only that but I still have more
the love in my heart and the passion in my soul
the paint of my world and the colors of it all
the glimmers of my stars and brightness of my floor
I've learned to live this life after a trust
When my sun stopped shining and my world lost its crust
It was all because I gave my keys
I gave my trust without any fees
I thought trust is a word to trust
but it was not more than a word to rust
I stopped allowing strangers to touch my world
I stopped trusting strangers to even come close
And NOW I hold my own keys
My sun, my world, my shine and my please
are all now mine and no one could squeeze
a look or a glimpse that would touch my breeze
So now I own my world with its day light
and my sun shines in it day and night
I promised to always keep it right
and never allow strangers to manage its delight
Yes, we must strive to own our space. It's a very mature poem. Tom Billsborough

What a very lovely poem, all flowers share the same sunlight but they each need their own space to grow and a solitary flower looks good in a vase but there is a sadness for those afraid to touch it for fear of a thorn...your words inspired me. A 10 for sure.
What a comment, Bill! Thanks for your kind words.
