My Supreme Deity Poem by Naveed Akram

My Supreme Deity

I have worshipped a deity of supreme love,
So I could reach my microscopic destination.
Where is my passive hardship leading me?
Why do the thieves in my alphabet console me?

The way is clear, bright and lustful, for presence
Is the appearance, and wights of anger discard
Our souls to be my skin in the way of the world;
I have wondered too late, I poison the frightful men.

My deity is my vein and and my heart, and more than
Gravity, more than strong help or strong design;
He fits in the heart if only imagination will blame,
But the mind is too stringent a part of the soul.

I have won my supreme being today and tonight,
The prayer is the invocation and the supplication;
It considers the beauty of this world and negates
The devil and his handiwork, dropping the self-made.
