The summer sun begins its slow descent,
As the yielding sky fades, pale and content.
The air is heavy with earthy fragrance,
Warm and lush, a soothing indulgence.
All around, new life springs forth winking,
Growing with unstoppable youth, fiercely unblinking.
Greenery abounds with vibrant hues,
Nature's palette bursting with fresh infuse.
A fleeting Reprieve from the bustling world
And as I take in this serene scene,
I think of you, as you sleep, serene.
