My Thoughts For You Poem by Samuel Chung

The world will finally see,
what you meant to me.
the final scene
the bridge is crossed,
so stand and watch it burn.
its beyond the point of no return.

You were cared for,
caressed,
loved,
and needed.
You fulfilled those.
absentmindedly.
You never knew,
what was new
but it was you.

You might have felt this all along
by so many.
as you possess,
the greatest beauty.
this feeling mustn't be new
because its because its you.

Well I can't blame you,
Really, you were respected,
You broke me -
- and you are still respected.
Yet because I still care for
you. I will respect your choice.
knowing full well that it will kill me.
slowly
slowly from the inside out.

Today, you are still on my mind.
never away,
in the corners of my mind.

I left this place,
a dream come true.
a way to get away
away from you.

for seven days, have I only got
small visions, memories.
even if they came daily.
plainly said, its still you.

I've realized that you will always
hold.
hold the keys to me.
every thing have I conquered
conquered to a degree,
Yet I fall to emotion.
even though emotions never hurt me.

the more I try to hate you,
the less I can actually do so.
the more I come to realize,
what you meant to me.
and that I took it for granted,
never fully appreciating,
till you left.

that was what you were to me.
