My Treasure 1 Poem by Solomon Terlumun Tule

My Treasure 1

so I met this lady, Lucy
I thought, and felt she's juicy
said she's my treasure
who could give me pleasure
never knew she's a trap as Delilah
all my experience with her was lies and wahalla
last last I realized I was lured
when my eyes were yet blurred
never knew she was on a mission to taste
now, I often wonder if I failed the test
all my care, my trust, she betrayed
she really wanted to leave me astray
my calls to her called over volume
my love for her she under value
most often I ask, God what's my offense
that this lady keeps treating me like I jumped another's fence
though in my tent
she makes me faint
O God, should this be a lesson
Make haste with your blessing.
